These earrings are one-of-a-kind earrings.
Creating pieces for this collection is a dance between my hands and the metal, a partnership between my hands and my mind. Very intimate, fulfilling and rewarding. The earrings are transformed from a single piece of metal into an elegant form in my hands.
As the pieces are formed to be symmetrically mirrored, there are two ways to wear them. The appearance changes, depending on the ear they’re worn in.
The upper part of the earrings are created with the traditional Japanese technique Mitsuro Hikime. The beautiful striated surface is created by hand by pulling, stretching and folding the wax.
The earrings are made of silver. The surface is finished with the unique pattern and is patinated.
Earring posts and clutches are made of the sterling silver (925).
